Fidel Prieto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bahía é Carnaval. After 26 played minutes Bahía é Carnaval got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Chorche. The audience was convinced that Desiderio Demario's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fidel Prieto was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Conrado Cambranes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fidel Prieto having to make a save. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Desiderio Demario got free with Fidel Prieto in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Desiderio Demario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bahía é Carnaval's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Demario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Prieto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bahía é Carnaval eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
