Wellington Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benja Pascua in the 7th minute of the match. Benja Pascua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Barbosa having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Jonas Veloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Durvalino Dracena charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Durvalino Dracena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gesteira's Wellington Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aimar Villa in the 29th minute of play. Gesteira were furious when Jerônimo Severo was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gesteira! 36 minutes into the match, Soucar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Veloso came free, but Eloy Mangas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gesteira's César de Godoi got a free kick in the 37th minute. Jonas Veloso took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Mangas. Eloy Mangas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Veloso to make the kick off. The supporters of Soucar FC booed when Gesteira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 minutes of play, Gesteira's Jonas Veloso made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eloy Mangas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Soucar FC booed when Gesteira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 played minutes Soucar FC got a freekick which was hit by Clemencin Pais. Benja Pascua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Adalberto de Souza suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 94 minutes, Benja Pascua mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soucar FC and the Gesteira players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gesteira booed when Soucar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benja Pascua didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gesteira had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
