With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Veloso in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick Recife saved AC Metropol from getting behind. Hamílton Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellington Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wellington Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otávio Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Dedê Meireles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gesteira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Metropol the free kick. After 19 played minutes Gesteira got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Meireles. After 26 played minutes Gesteira got a freekick which was hit by Adalberto de Souza. 33 minutes into the match, Otávio Toledo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gesteira's Wellington Barbosa. Wellington Barbosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jarbas Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jarbas Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in AC Metropol fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Patrick Recife, was totally fooled by Gesteira's Tiago Gabriel Mesquita, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Tiago Gabriel Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Gesteira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Gabriel Mesquita couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hamílton Miranda to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Motta in the 51st minute of play forced AC Metropol's goalkeeper Patrick Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Gesteira's Adalberto de Souza got a free kick in the 54th minute. Otávio Toledo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wellington Barbosa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dedê Meireles hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Gesteira's Wellington Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Zonta in the 74th minute of play. After 78 minutes of play, AC Metropol's Hamílton Miranda made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wellington Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 84 minutes into the match, Gesteira's goal looked a bit too open when Hamílton Miranda came free, but Wellington Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute of the match José Vítor Campidelis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wellington Barbosa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
