Bernard Ryers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 9 minutes Montevideo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ward Raeymakers who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Forza Heppenbach's Ward Raeymakers to fire away a dangerous shot which Oleg Timofeev despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bernard Ryers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Brito in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match Laerte Paraíba sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernard Ryers skillfully saved the ball. Jano Cavalcante scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernard Ryers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernard Ryers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jano Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Forza Heppenbach defense, Agostinho Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernard Ryers. The Forza Heppenbach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernard Ryers should have stopped the shot. Axel De Beer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Oleg Timofeev made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Ward Raeymakers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bernard Ryers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jano Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Arthur Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 54 minutes, Anselmo Valladares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montevideo and the Forza Heppenbach players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Augustijn Luytens fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Forza Heppenbach's protests and gave Augustijn Luytens a yellow card for diving instead. Axel De Beer was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Forza Heppenbach:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montevideo:s goal. When the match had been going on for 61 minutes, Montevideo's Laerte Paraíba got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bernard Ryers. After a defensive mix-up in Montevideo's zone, Ward Raeymakers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oleg Timofeev came out of the goal and Ward Raeymakers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oleg Timofeev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben de Wolf in the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Forza Heppenbach's Ruben de Wolf sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oleg Timofeev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jano Cavalcante received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bernard Ryers came out and tried to block the shot, but Jano Cavalcante slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 73rd minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Brain De Raedemaeker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forza Heppenbach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brain De Raedemaeker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Forza Heppenbach's Bernard Ryers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano Cavalcante in the 78th minute of play. The supporters of Forza Heppenbach booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oleg Timofeev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben de Wolf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Montevideo booed when Forza Heppenbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richey Bernaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Montevideo's Laerte Paraíba tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Forza Heppenbach's Ward Raeymakers got a free kick in the 91st minute. Montevideo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
