With a little luck, San Roque FC's Alexander Pérez got control of the ball when Eliseu Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, AC Metropol's Hamílton Miranda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexander Pérez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Hector Pinilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patrick Recife was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 11 minutes into the match, AC Metropol's goal looked a bit too open when Julio De Diego came free, but Patrick Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, San Roque FC's Martín Ríos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Martín Ríos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of San Roque FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Martín Ríos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, San Roque FC's Martín Ríos got a free kick in the 13th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Jarbas Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Metropol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrick Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio De Diego in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, AC Metropol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Julio De Diego got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexander Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Miranda in the 23rd minute of the match. If Julio De Diego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Julio De Diego had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Recife. AC Metropol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julio De Diego was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamílton Miranda in the 33rd minute of play forced San Roque FC's goalkeeper Alexander Pérez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexander Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Miranda in the 34th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Julio De Diego sped through AC Metropol's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Patrick Recife. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julio De Diego in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Recife prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexander Pérez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamílton Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match AC Metropol got a corner. San Roque FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jarbas Azevedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. José Vítor Campidelis was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Nicolás Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julio De Diego stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio De Diego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, San Roque FC's Julio De Diego ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Patrick Recife. Patrick Recife yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. The supporters of AC Metropol booed when San Roque FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Spadafora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Pérez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamílton Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 65 minutes into the match, San Roque FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Nóbrega came free, but Alexander Pérez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 minutes of play, AC Metropol's Eliseu Nóbrega made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Pérez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute, Julio De Diego reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Patrick Recife. The goal made the score 1-6. When Andrés Carrera came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the San Roque FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrés Carrera couldn't finish the play. Alexander Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Miranda in the 73rd minute of play. AC Metropol's Patrick Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio De Diego in the 75th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hector Pinilla in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick Recife saved AC Metropol from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio De Diego in the 78th minute of play forced AC Metropol's goalkeeper Patrick Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Hamílton Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexander Pérez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6. Rolando Spadafora struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Patrick Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Roque FC. In the 84th minute, San Roque FC's Julio De Diego dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-7. Rolando Spadafora struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Patrick Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Roque FC. San Roque FC's Julio De Diego got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. San Roque FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
