With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tião França in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Palmquist saved Granate from getting behind. In the 15th minute, Erasmo Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 16 minutes, Ladislao Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Columbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Granate's Jonathan Palmquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Granate from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Palmquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Gaúcho in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alan Gaúcho got free with Jonathan Palmquist in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute Joaquin Ezkerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederico de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Kirby, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Ladislao Columbo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jonathan Palmquist was a little too slow when Tião França got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 1-1. Frederico de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Kirby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Tião França made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Robert Kirby's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederico de Salles was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ladislao Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Granate's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislao Columbo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederico de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Galtero in the 87th minute of play. Alan Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Palmquist having to interfere. Robert Kirby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Frederico de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barbie Doll United U23's Frederico de Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Barbie Doll United U23 from getting a goal against them. Barbie Doll United U23 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Granate for a fine match.
