Percival Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Librado in the 3rd minute of the match. Edgardo Botello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 14th minute, Celsinho Bittencourt made a precise shot to the right of Edgardo Botello. Deportivo Pucho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. A collision led to Inter de São Paulo getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Douglas Neiva hit a great ball. Edgardo Botello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charles Santos in the 20th minute. A nice corner shot did that Celsinho Bittencourt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edgardo Botello quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pucho's Roman Lehior got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Pucho's zone, Charles Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Botello came out of the goal and Charles Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Benicio Librado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charles Santos got free with Edgardo Botello in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgardo Botello didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. In the 34th minute, Inter de São Paulo's Charles Santos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Edgardo Botello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celsinho Bittencourt in the 37th minute of the match. Deportivo Pucho's Edgardo Botello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Pucho from getting a goal against them. Edgardo Botello had great luck who in the 40thth minute grab hold of the ball when Celsinho Bittencourt from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 43rd minute Celsinho Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Botello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benicio Librado during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Checa was the one to do the kick off. The Inter de São Paulo fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Inter de São Paulo's Celsinho Bittencourt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tomás Checa's late challenge caught a Inter de São Paulo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Checa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Deportivo Pucho getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Tomás Checa hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Celsinho Bittencourt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Botello was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. In the 71stth minute of the game Charles Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Pucho's Edgardo Botello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute, Celsinho Bittencourt made a precise shot to the right of Edgardo Botello. Deportivo Pucho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. When César Alagoano came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Inter de São Paulo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César Alagoano couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Pucho's zone, Charles Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Botello came out of the goal and Charles Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 played minutes Inter de São Paulo got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho Bittencourt. Charles Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Inter de São Paulo had played much better football throughout.
