If Rafael de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Leal lost his temper 21 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael de Godoi in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Botello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jeferson Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rafael de Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Three Lions FC's protests and gave Rafael de Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. Jeferson Pombal's late challenge caught a Deportivo Pucho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeferson Pombal helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Three Lions FC's Jeferson Pombal got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomás Checa to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeferson Pombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgardo Botello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeferson Pombal ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafael de Godoi made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 53rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Edgardo Botello would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael de Godoi in the 55th minute of play forced Deportivo Pucho's goalkeeper Edgardo Botello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Rafael de Godoi put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edgardo Botello. In the 64th match minute, Three Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Foden to maneuver through the defense. Dênis de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Checa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Rafael de Godoi sped through Deportivo Pucho's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edgardo Botello. After a rather tough play, Three Lions FC's Jeferson Pombal got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Rafael de Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgardo Botello having to make a save. Rafael de Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Edgardo Botello made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Checa in the 79th minute of play forced Three Lions FC's goalkeeper Dênis de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eustacio Quinten during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Three Lions FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jeferson Pombal hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Three Lions FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
