After the first half Three Lions FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florentino Paul to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in GUSESI's zone, João Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Kiliz came out of the goal and João Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santos Kiliz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael de Godoi got free with Santos Kiliz in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeferson Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Santos Kiliz made a huge save. In the 65th minute, Francis Dukaj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, George Grealish took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Santos Kiliz to make any attempt to save it.
