Samuca Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Santos in the 5th minute of the match. Inter de São Paulo's Eliseu Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil dos Santos in the 14th minute of play. When Adalberto Vianna fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's protests and gave Adalberto Vianna a yellow card for diving instead. Douglas Neiva hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Celsinho Bittencourt hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Falcão Marques scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseu Melo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 26 played minutes Rondinone F.C - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Secco. After recieving a nice pass, Inter de São Paulo's Charles Santos tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Adalberto Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 minutes, Manoel Mota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF and the Inter de São Paulo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes Rondinone F.C - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Manoel Mota. After 37 minutes of play Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Manoel Mota was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Adalberto Vianna hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Tiago Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 59 minutes, Hermínio Maciel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF and the Inter de São Paulo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute Gil dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Douglas Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Gil dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseu Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Marques in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match Rondinone F.C - FDFDF got a corner. Inter de São Paulo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gil dos Santos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Gil dos Santos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Inter de São Paulo's Eliseu Melo did a great save. 74 minutes into the match, Adalberto Vianna notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Inter de São Paulo's Eliseu Melo. Eliseu Melo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute, João Vítor Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 played minutes Inter de São Paulo got a freekick which was hit by Yan Ceresso. In the 94th minute, Alexsandro Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gil dos Santos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eliseu Melo. Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF had won after a very even match.
