GUSESI's Florentino Paul started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes GUSESI got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Rafe. In the 3rd minute of the match Charles Santos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santos Kiliz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Santos Kiliz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos Kiliz came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de São Paulo's Celsinho Bittencourt. But to his dismay, Celsinho Bittencourt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Florentino Paul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Melo having to interfere. Charles Santos hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Celsinho Bittencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santos Kiliz was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Santos Kiliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Neiva in the 26th minute of the match. Celsinho Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Santos Kiliz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos Kiliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Santos in the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in GUSESI's zone, Celsinho Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Kiliz came out of the goal and Celsinho Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celsinho Bittencourt in the 32nd minute of play forced GUSESI's goalkeeper Santos Kiliz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd match minute, GUSESI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Cuartio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Charles Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de São Paulo's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Kiliz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of GUSESI booed when Inter de São Paulo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santos Kiliz came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de São Paulo's Frédson Marquez. But to his dismay, Frédson Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Alexsandro Branco fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inter de São Paulo's protests and gave Alexsandro Branco a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Inter de São Paulo's Alexsandro Branco got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charles Santos was the one to do the kick off. Paco Gento's late challenge caught a Inter de São Paulo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paco Gento helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, GUSESI's Paco Gento got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Urbez during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Inter de São Paulo booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Urbez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Santos Kiliz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Celsinho Bittencourt in the 54thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Celsinho Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Kiliz having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, GUSESI's goalkeeper Santos Kiliz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charles Santos. After some careless play in the GUSESI defense, Charles Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santos Kiliz. The GUSESI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santos Kiliz should have stopped the shot. After 63 played minutes GUSESI got a freekick which was hit by Francis Dukaj. Charles Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Santos Kiliz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos Kiliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celsinho Bittencourt in the 70th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Celsinho Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Celsinho Bittencourt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santos Kiliz. GUSESI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celsinho Bittencourt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Inter de São Paulo's Jonathan Carvalho was substituted for Nelsinho Marques. Celsinho Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Santos Kiliz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de São Paulo. After 87 minutes, Kevin Keegan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GUSESI and the Inter de São Paulo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes GUSESI got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Keegan. Inter de São Paulo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
