Flavio Nuñez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donny Watson, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Hayden Townson kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Estudiantes de América's Flavio Nuñez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barrie Newell in the 19th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anselmo Orlan made a kick off. Flavio Nuñez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iain Ely in the 54th minute of play. Estudiantes de América's Anselmo Orlan got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Calum Frost dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Flavio Nuñez, 0-3. The supporters of Estudiantes de América booed when Clapham Comets F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donny Watson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Elvio Paublo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Felix Beat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Estudiantes de América players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
