The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to São José City - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Moisés Montenegro hit a great ball. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Generoso Sasoin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Gloria Verdinegra AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 35th match minute, São José City - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Arruda to maneuver through the defense. Moisés Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gloria Verdinegra AFC booed when São José City - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, São José City - FSCMZ's Hélder Severo got control of the ball when Horacio Iztal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Horacio Iztal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Severo having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gloria Verdinegra AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
