The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hudson de Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Cássio de Senna made a huge save. In the 5th match minute, LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Washington Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF's Edmílson de Almeida got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 9 played minutes LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson de Almeida. In the 17th minute, Hudson de Godoi made a precise shot to the right of Cássio de Senna. Poetass FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hudson de Godoi got free with Cássio de Senna in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cássio de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hudson de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to Poetass FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ismael Penha hit a great ball. The supporters of LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Augusto Barreto hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Hudson de Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cássio de Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hudson de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Cássio de Senna was a little too slow when Giuseppe Silveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Giuseppe Silveira struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Cássio de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF. Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Silveira in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF's Célio da Cunha got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 71st minute, Edmílson de Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cássio de Senna didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF's Hudson de Godoi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 77th minute Giuseppe Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute of the match Carlos Augusto Perez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cássio de Senna skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hudson de Godoi in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cássio de Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF's Hudson de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Giuseppe Silveira sped through Poetass FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cássio de Senna. After 90 played minutes LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto Perez. Miguel Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Cafu Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Saldanha in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
