Spectators: 7515 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dedê Cerezo got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute, Dorian Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fidel Lorien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloísio Chulapa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Cambranes in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Monte Hermoso Beach booed when Divina Comédia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albano Cambranes took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Ceni. Rogério Ceni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rogério Ceni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gregorio Bastian went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Divina Comédia FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jerônimo Fernandez hit a great ball. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Cambranes in the 37th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Gregorio Bastian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogério Ceni. Divina Comédia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregorio Bastian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After the first half Monte Hermoso Beach were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregorio Bastian made a kick off. Albano Cambranes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 53rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The crowd rose to their feet as Monte Hermoso Beach's Gregorio Bastian slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogério Ceni. That made the score 1-4 after 55 minutes of play. In the 59th minute Aloísio Chulapa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Lorien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Chulapa came free, but Fidel Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osmar Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osmar Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 67 minutes, Lázaro Osasun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monte Hermoso Beach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lázaro Osasun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rogério Ceni made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Gregorio Bastian sent off a good shot on target. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Cambranes in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Albano Cambranes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rogério Ceni. The goal made the score 1-5. With a little luck, Divina Comédia FC's Rogério Ceni got control of the ball when Gregorio Bastian tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Gregorio Bastian recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rogério Ceni. Gregorio Bastian showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. The audience was convinced that Pedrão Paraense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fidel Lorien was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. In the 93rd minute, Gregorio Bastian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monte Hermoso Beach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-8. Monte Hermoso Beach's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
