Filiberto Fidele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Bastian in the 11th minute of the match. Monte Hermoso Beach's Fidel Lorien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Oalo in the 26th minute of play. Fidel Lorien made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Alberto Walme sent off a good shot on target. When Rosendo Izotz fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Retorno de Palermo's protests and gave Rosendo Izotz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to El Retorno de Palermo getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Rosendo Izotz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Retorno de Palermo's zone, Albano Cambranes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Fidele came out of the goal and Albano Cambranes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Walme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Fidel Lorien made a huge save. In the 38th minute of the match, Florencio Patrido got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fidel Lorien was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Albano Cambranes kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Fidel Lorien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Oalo in the 46th minute of play. 49 minutes into the match, Gerardo Oalo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fidel Lorien, 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gregorio Bastian to strike the kick off in the second half. For all the effort they put into the match, the Monte Hermoso Beach players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for El Retorno de Palermo.
