The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Szombathely Squirrels's János Major got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Szombathely Squirrels's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Gonçalo Neiva scored to the left of an out of position Gusztáv Jászberényi, making the score, 1-0. Gusztáv Jászberényi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nivaldo Pessoa in the 11th minute of play. When Nivaldo Pessoa in the 13th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Gusztáv Jászberényi kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Ilídio Braga's late challenge caught a Szombathely Squirrels's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ilídio Braga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilídio Braga to maneuver through the defense. Dániel Szabadi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abílio Gois read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nivaldo Pessoa in the 21st minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Gusztáv Jászberényi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Nivaldo Pessoa notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Szombathely Squirrels's Gusztáv Jászberényi. Gusztáv Jászberényi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abílio Gois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zsolt Vörös, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as SLB TELHA's Nivaldo Pessoa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gusztáv Jászberényi. That made the score 4-0 after 28 minutes of play. Gusztáv Jászberényi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eusébio Mourato showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 31 minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Eusébio Mourato recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gusztáv Jászberényi. Eusébio Mourato showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. Gusztáv Jászberényi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aristides Espírito Santo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Gusztáv Jászberényi made a huge save. After having played for 47 minutes, Aristides Espírito Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SLB TELHA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aristides Espírito Santo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Balázs Pálinkás to make the kick off. Aristides Espírito Santo took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gusztáv Jászberényi. Gusztáv Jászberényi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. In the 59th minute Eusébio Mourato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gusztáv Jászberényi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nivaldo Pessoa took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gusztáv Jászberényi. Gusztáv Jászberényi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. 64 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Nivaldo Pessoa came free, but Gusztáv Jászberényi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nivaldo Pessoa in the 75th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Gusztáv Jászberényi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SLB TELHA getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ilídio Braga hit a great ball. Ferenc Jászberényi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abílio Gois. SLB TELHA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Balázs Pálinkás cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Abílio Gois was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dénes Boross who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Abílio Gois when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Szombathely Squirrels's Gusztáv Jászberényi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nivaldo Pessoa in the 87th minute of play. With a little luck, SLB TELHA's Abílio Gois got control of the ball when Balázs Pálinkás tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abílio Gois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Szilárd Csikós in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, SLB TELHA's Nivaldo Pessoa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gusztáv Jászberényi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SLB TELHA fully deserved thier win.
