Florian Huratiak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Abílio Gois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, SLB TELHA's Nivaldo Pessoa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ryszard Gecionis. Ryszard Gecionis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Zenon Pieknik's late challenge caught a SLB TELHA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zenon Pieknik helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SLB TELHA booed when FA Sandtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenon Pieknik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ryszard Gecionis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Trigueiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, FA Sandtown's Zenon Pieknik got a free kick in the 22nd minute. FA Sandtown's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. SLB TELHA's Abílio Gois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Károly Tolnay in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Károly Tolnay made a kick off. Abílio Gois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Huratiak, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. FA Sandtown's Ryszard Gecionis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nivaldo Pessoa in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Esparteiro in the 56th minute of play forced FA Sandtown's goalkeeper Ryszard Gecionis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the game, SLB TELHA's Nivaldo Pessoa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ryszard Gecionis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Neiva in the 61st minute of play forced FA Sandtown's goalkeeper Ryszard Gecionis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, FA Sandtown's goal looked a bit too open when Nivaldo Pessoa came free, but Ryszard Gecionis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Aristides Espírito Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryszard Gecionis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abílio Gois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Aristides Espírito Santo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ryszard Gecionis. FA Sandtown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aristides Espírito Santo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0.
