The SLB TELHA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Gonçalo Neiva notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FA Sandtown's Ryszard Gecionis. Ryszard Gecionis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ryszard Gecionis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nivaldo Pessoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iwan Marut hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Nivaldo Pessoa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ryszard Gecionis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 21st minute Florian Huratiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abílio Gois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th match minute, FA Sandtown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucjan Watarz to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes, SLB TELHA's Abel Trigueiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ryszard Gecionis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SLB TELHA reached it. Ryszard Gecionis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flávio Esparteiro went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Ryszard Gecionis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nivaldo Pessoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 minutes of play, SLB TELHA's Flávio Esparteiro made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ryszard Gecionis was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the match, FA Sandtown's goal looked a bit too open when Nivaldo Pessoa came free, but Ryszard Gecionis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Mateusz Madej hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Nivaldo Pessoa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ryszard Gecionis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nivaldo Pessoa to make the kick off. If Zygmunt Wos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. With a little luck, FA Sandtown's Ryszard Gecionis got control of the ball when Aristides Espírito Santo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Nascimento in the 61st minute of play forced FA Sandtown's goalkeeper Ryszard Gecionis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryszard Gecionis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nivaldo Pessoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flávio Esparteiro got free with Ryszard Gecionis in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, Aristides Espírito Santo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ryszard Gecionis. FA Sandtown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aristides Espírito Santo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. In the 72nd minute, Eusébio Mourato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nivaldo Pessoa in the 74th minute of play forced FA Sandtown's goalkeeper Ryszard Gecionis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Trigueiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Aristides Espírito Santo could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Ryszard Gecionis however easily saved by the left post. 80 minutes into the match, FA Sandtown's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Esparteiro came free, but Ryszard Gecionis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iwan Marut charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iwan Marut the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SLB TELHA booed when FA Sandtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iwan Marut didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Reginaldo Rangel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, FA Sandtown's goalkeeper Ryszard Gecionis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flávio Esparteiro. In the 87th minute, SLB TELHA's Aristides Espírito Santo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. Ryszard Gecionis made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Nivaldo Pessoa sent off a good shot on target. SLB TELHA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
