The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the game, ORIZABA F.C.'s Ubaldo Mogel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victor Porfirio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Marcelino Columbo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Mogel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Porfirio. Firmat Foot Ball Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubaldo Mogel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 12th match minute, Firmat Foot Ball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Calcini to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute Victor Castellani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Porfirio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Firmat Foot Ball Club's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Cristos came free, but Victor Porfirio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albano Rodriguez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victor Porfirio. Firmat Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, ORIZABA F.C.'s Eugenio Honrio got control of the ball when Gonzalo Calcini tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Ubaldo Mogel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Porfirio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The supporters of ORIZABA F.C. booed when Firmat Foot Ball Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Clis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, ORIZABA F.C.'s Albano Rodriguez tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Firmat Foot Ball Club's Victor Porfirio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Ramone in the 38th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Carolo Cristos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Porfirio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ubaldo Mogel took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Porfirio. Victor Porfirio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After the first half ORIZABA F.C. were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Ulises Ramone reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Victor Porfirio. The goal made the score 0-5. In the 58th minute Gonzalo Calcini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Honrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Firmat Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rosendo Luar hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, ORIZABA F.C.'s Albano Rodriguez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Ulises Ramone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Victor Porfirio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Firmat Foot Ball Club got a freekick which was hit by Albano Acevedo. Victor Porfirio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Ramone in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Gartxot in the 71st minute of play forced ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Eugenio Honrio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Firmat Foot Ball Club were awarded a corner. Tobias Gartzi went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 75th match minute, ORIZABA F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Cristos to maneuver through the defense. Ubaldo Mogel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Victor Porfirio made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Firmat Foot Ball Club's Tobias Gartzi got a free kick in the 86th minute. Firmat Foot Ball Club's Victor Porfirio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Firmat Foot Ball Club from getting a goal against them.
