In the 15th minute, Vencel Káposztás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Áron Salamon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Ionel Panaitoiu made a huge save. Áron Salamon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Ionel Panaitoiu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix Strikers's zone, Rigoberto Gervaso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionel Panaitoiu came out of the goal and Rigoberto Gervaso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Áron Salamon put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ionel Panaitoiu. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A collision led to PMFC 2018 getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. János Kuti hit a great ball. Nistor Curcă charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nistor Curcă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nistor Curcă kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 53 played minutes, PMFC 2018's Vencel Káposztás shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ionel Panaitoiu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PMFC 2018 reached it. After some careless play in the Phoenix Strikers defense, Lóránd Borbás kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ionel Panaitoiu. The Phoenix Strikers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ionel Panaitoiu should have stopped the shot. If Rigoberto Gervaso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Áron Salamon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ionel Panaitoiu was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 74th minute, Rigoberto Gervaso made a precise shot to the right of Ionel Panaitoiu. Phoenix Strikers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Rigoberto Gervaso struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Ionel Panaitoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PMFC 2018. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. PMFC 2018 had won after a very even match.
