Horaţiu Dinulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Czeslaw Borczak having to interfere. The supporters of FC GIDLE booed when Phoenix Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Brânzaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedykt Niemojewski charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedykt Niemojewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Tomasz Balonek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Brânzaș took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Czeslaw Borczak. After 30 minutes, Anton Păun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Phoenix Strikers and the FC GIDLE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Phoenix Strikers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Benedykt Niemojewski scored to the left of an out of position Ionel Panaitoiu, making the score, 2-3. 47 minutes into the game, Jurand Pisarcik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Ionel Panaitoiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Filip Kolano put it in 4-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ionel Panaitoiu. In the 57th minute Benedykt Niemojewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionel Panaitoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jurand Pisarcik's late challenge caught a Phoenix Strikers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jurand Pisarcik helped the player get up and apologised. Jurand Pisarcik hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The FC GIDLE fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when FC GIDLE's Benedykt Niemojewski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ionel Panaitoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Kolano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Czeslaw Borczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Brânzaș in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Gilbert Tychy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ionel Panaitoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedykt Niemojewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Phoenix Strikers's Ionel Panaitoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Tychy in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute Filip Kolano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionel Panaitoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
