The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Cylon booed when Phoenix Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horaţiu Dinulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 郭震迅's late challenge caught a Phoenix Strikers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 郭震迅 helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Cylon got a freekick which was hit by 郭震迅. If Horaţiu Dinulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 尹桑文 kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Denis Brânzaș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 龙枫博 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Denis Brânzaș had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 龙枫博. Cylon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Brânzaș was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 龙钢超 took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isac Spirea. Isac Spirea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 龙钢超 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isac Spirea having to make a save. 40 minutes into the match, Cylon's 姚广邦 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isac Spirea narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horaţiu Dinulescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg 龙枫博 managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Phoenix Strikers's Horaţiu Dinulescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cylon's 龙枫博 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Brânzaș in the 52nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horaţiu Dinulescu during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Phoenix Strikers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horaţiu Dinulescu to maneuver through the defense. Isac Spirea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 姚广邦 in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Cylon were awarded a corner. 庄志政 went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Cylon's corner 庄志政 fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Isac Spirea quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Cylon's 莫义林 got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 68th minute of the game Marin Pietreanu made a throw-in which Anton Păun played forward. In the 74th minute Denis Brânzaș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 龙枫博 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cylon's 龙钢超 got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Păun in the 80th minute of play forced Cylon's goalkeeper 龙枫博 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cylon's 莫义林 got a free kick in the 81st minute. The supporters of Phoenix Strikers booed when Cylon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. 高榕轩 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isac Spirea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 姚广邦, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute, 龙钢超 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cylon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cylon fans cheered their team off the field, for while Phoenix Strikers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
