The supporters of Meerkats FC booed when Vanadio F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramirez Tavarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Leonard Calleja made the kick off in the second half. Frederick Scicluna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vanadio F.C.. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Osvaldo Peregrin took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Frederick Scicluna to make any attempt to save it. Frederick Scicluna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramirez Tavarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Amadeo Darmanin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Joaquin Ispuzua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
