Claudio Bucciarelli kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kurt Abdilla in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelio Astudillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Templars FC's Kurt Abdilla managed to work through San Lorenzo 11's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Kurt Abdilla dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 42 minutes, Leandro-Atilio Romagnoli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Lorenzo 11 and the Templars FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 45 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Astigar came free, but Samuel Demicoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peppino Azzopardi kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kurt Abdilla to make the kick off. If Joaquin Phoenix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Kurt Abdilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Templars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurt Abdilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Astudillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. San Lorenzo 11's Aurelio Astudillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Phoenix in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Astigar came free, but Samuel Demicoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Gualterio Aragones was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Lorenzo 11's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Templars FC the free kick. A collision led to San Lorenzo 11 getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Gualterio Aragones hit a great ball. Aurelio Astudillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Abdilla in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Astigar in the 69th minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper Samuel Demicoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Astudillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Aquilina in the 70th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kurt Abdilla in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelio Astudillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurelio Astudillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Phoenix in the 78th minute of play. Aurelio Astudillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquin Phoenix's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Peppino Azzopardi kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Templars FC from getting a goal against them. San Lorenzo 11's Aurelio Astudillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Phoenix in the 89th minute of play. In the 94th minute Joaquin Phoenix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Astudillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Templars FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while San Lorenzo 11 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
