Claudio Bucciarelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Afloroaiei having to interfere. Filiberto Txurio hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo 11's goalkeeper Aurelio Astudillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petrică Dragu. San Lorenzo 11's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marius Levința was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 87th minute Marius Levința shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Astudillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Vlashers were the better team. Vlashers's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
