In the 13thth minute of the game Joaquin Phoenix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vlashers's Horea Afloroaiei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Phoenix in the 15th minute of play forced Vlashers's goalkeeper Horea Afloroaiei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th match minute, Vlashers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinu Moșanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Joaquin Phoenix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horea Afloroaiei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Levința in the 21st minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper Samuel Demicoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horea Afloroaiei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manwel Dimech, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 29 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goalkeeper Samuel Demicoli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petrică Dragu. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Templars FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The corner led Vlashers's Romeo Giurăscu to fire away a dangerous shot which Samuel Demicoli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Templars FC booed when Vlashers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantin Teodoreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Constantin Teodoreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Demicoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demetrio Domenghini's late challenge caught a Templars FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Demetrio Domenghini helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute Templars FC were awarded a corner. Manwel Dimech went to the cornerflag to take it.

After a rather tough play, Vlashers's Teofilo Gaitano got a free kick in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Trayko Mendov came free, but Samuel Demicoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Demicoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Gaitano in the 92nd minute of play. Joaquin Phoenix received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Horea Afloroaiei came out and tried to block the shot, but Joaquin Phoenix slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 94th minute. Vlashers made a substitution. Egídio de Barros replaced Trayko Mendov. The Vlashers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Templars FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Templars FC.
