The referee ignored Templars FC's protests and gave George Pullicino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Pullicino to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Demicoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacek Wasikowski in the 32nd minute of play. Dariusz Kluska hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Peppino Azzopardi made a kick off. With an all-out effort, Słodkie Cytryny's Samuel Demicoli threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jacek Wasikowski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Peppino Azzopardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gabriel Lentini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Ruszkowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Templars FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Peppino Azzopardi hit a great ball. Templars FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
