An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Boieru in the 4th minute of play forced De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalkeeper Heiko Som to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. De Ontembare Leeuwen's Heiko Som played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Vătavu in the 6th minute of play. With a little luck, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Heiko Som got control of the ball when Manuel Cozorici tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gheorghe Zmărăndache hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Stef Mol took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vlad Voican. Heiko Som made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Stelaru in the 32nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosmin Mușetescu during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th minute, Cosmin Mușetescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Răzvan Boieru made a precise shot to the right of Heiko Som. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV fans cheered their team off the field, for while De Ontembare Leeuwen had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
