An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Gaizkine in the 5th minute of play forced Deportivo ScrugenFC's goalkeeper Cresconio Carreño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute Ciriaco Gaizkine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cresconio Carreño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, C. A. Potrero's Ramon Sarracino got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 12 played minutes C. A. Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Medina. Ramon Sarracino kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Txindoki Ameda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo ScrugenFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 23rd minute Honorato Normando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cresconio Carreño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Txindoki Ameda charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Txindoki Ameda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Deportivo ScrugenFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Txindoki Ameda hit a great ball. Hurko Hurtado kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Santiago Izotz struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Cresconio Carreño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Potrero. Justo Dunixi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Txindoki Ameda in the 39th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Deportivo ScrugenFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Gaizkine came free, but Cresconio Carreño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Txindoki Ameda to make the kick off. In the 56th match minute, C. A. Potrero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Ubelteso to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Caradaro Arismendi was substituted for Lluis Pavieta. The throw-in from Camilo Tabor in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deportivo ScrugenFC's Bel Vitoria. The supporters of C. A. Potrero booed when Deportivo ScrugenFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Gustavo Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Ramon Sarracino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Honorato Normando left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Potrero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo ScrugenFC's zone, Camilo Tabor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cresconio Carreño came out of the goal and Camilo Tabor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. C. A. Potrero made a substitution. Clemente Ezkerra replaced Honorato Normando. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Txindoki Ameda got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Deportivo ScrugenFC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing C. A. Potrero to win.
