Polly Magoo Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cosmin Mușetescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Cosmin Mușetescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Markus Fågel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Stelaru in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markus Fågel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute, Omero Zubiaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd match minute, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Mușetescu to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV booed when Polly Magoo Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Fågel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Stelaru in the 77th minute of the match. Francisc Neaga hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Tunberg in the 81st minute of play forced MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalkeeper Vlad Voican to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Polly Magoo Juniors's Gösta Bergman made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vlad Voican was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the match, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Tunberg came free, but Vlad Voican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Polly Magoo Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Bo Abbas to maneuver through the defense. When Omero Zubiaga fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polly Magoo Juniors's protests and gave Omero Zubiaga a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee ended the match the Polly Magoo Juniors players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
