Viriato Leal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting Clube Patrício's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jacco Hoving was slow to take the kick. During this time De Ontembare Leeuwen's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to De Ontembare Leeuwen's Jan Frankowski getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Viriato Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacco Hoving, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of De Ontembare Leeuwen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sporting Clube Patrício:s goal. 31 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube Patrício's goalkeeper Viriato Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Chabanenko. Sporting Clube Patrício's Viriato Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Clube Patrício from getting a goal against them. Viriato Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacco Hoving in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Sporting Clube Patrício was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Marques to maneuver through the defense. But to his dismay, Jacco Hoving quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 57th minute Egídio Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heiko Som saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacco Hoving in the 61st minute of play forced Sporting Clube Patrício's goalkeeper Viriato Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viriato Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacco Hoving in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's goal looked a bit too open when Teófilo Melo came free, but Heiko Som reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 played minutes De Ontembare Leeuwen got a freekick which was hit by Mitchell Terpstra. Jan Frankowski scored 5-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viriato Leal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 85 minutes into the game, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Jan Frankowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Viriato Leal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Clube Patrício's zone, Jacco Hoving stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viriato Leal came out of the goal and Jacco Hoving tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Wilfred Tollenaar managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Ontembare Leeuwen's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfred Tollenaar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Leal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan Frankowski scored 7-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viriato Leal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the De Ontembare Leeuwen players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
