Jan Frankowski took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vlad Voican. Vlad Voican dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 5 minutes into the match, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goal looked a bit too open when Jacco Hoving came free, but Vlad Voican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vlad Voican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacco Hoving in the 9th minute of the match. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Vlad Voican proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the game, Manuel Cozorici was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Ontembare Leeuwen the free kick. Vlad Voican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Frankowski in the 29th minute of the match. Ivan Chabanenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heiko Som came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Dan Stelaru. But to his dismay, Dan Stelaru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 41st match minute, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gheorghe Zmărăndache to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacco Hoving in the 43rd minute of play forced MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalkeeper Vlad Voican to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Stelaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Dan Stelaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. De Ontembare Leeuwen's Heiko Som proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save De Ontembare Leeuwen from getting a goal against them. Dan Stelaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Heiko Som got control of the ball when Dan Stelaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacco Hoving scored 2-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vlad Voican, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Victor de Jong in the 66th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Viorel Burdea. 69 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalkeeper Heiko Som had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Stelaru. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Vlad Voican played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sander Spoel in the 70th minute of play. If Ivan Chabanenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Frankowski in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vlad Voican prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute Manuel Cozorici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heiko Som saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led to MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Constantin Daraban getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Heiko Som made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Stelaru in the 86th minute of play. After 86 played minutes De Ontembare Leeuwen got a freekick which was hit by Victor de Jong. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Francisc Neaga managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Victor de Jong in the 90 minute of the game. Dan Stelaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Heiko Som tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dan Stelaru came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Stelaru couldn't finish the play.
