After 10 minutes, Greg Ciccaglione mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New England Minas and the New Joinville - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Greg Ciccaglione hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute Diogo Yurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Gustavson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Chris Cabezon notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of New Joinville - FSCMZ's Gustavo Gustavson. Gustavo Gustavson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Yurin in the 42nd minute of play forced New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Gustavo Gustavson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Ateş Direnç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Markusson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diogo Yurin struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Gustavo Gustavson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New England Minas. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Ateş Direnç made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo got a free kick in the 54th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Angelo Osasun recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin Markusson. Angelo Osasun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. New Joinville - FSCMZ made a substitution. Lütfü Helvacı replaced Marquinhos Jacinto. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Lucas Sjödin was substituted for Ronnie Xande. After a rather tough play, New England Minas's Jarod Hester got a free kick in the 65th minute. When Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Joinville - FSCMZ's protests and gave Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo a yellow card for diving instead. Martin Markusson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ateş Direnç in the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Diogo Yurin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New England Minas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Gustavo Gustavson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Yurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clinton Caballero during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Clinton Caballero. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo got free with Martin Markusson in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. New England Minas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
