But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felippe Saraiva couldn't finish the play. Parfrente FC's José Paulo de Barros was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 9th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Banegas in the 13th minute of play forced Parfrente FC's goalkeeper Hamílton Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Victoriano Banegas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Hamílton Donatello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Octavio Lauaxeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan Carioca in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Simbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kauan Carioca came free, but Octavio Lauaxeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamílton Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lia Crucet, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Parfrente FC's José Paulo de Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Octavio Lauaxeta. That made the score 2-1 after 28 minutes of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Cesinha de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parfrente FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesinha de Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 39 played minutes, Simbo FC's Lia Crucet shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hamílton Donatello came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Simbo FC reached it. Hamílton Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lia Crucet, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Iravata Chavan hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Igor Polo came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hamílton Donatello could save by the left post. Octavio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute Lia Crucet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lia Crucet ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marco Raymon was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The Simbo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Simbo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
