Roald Engebakken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Lauaxeta having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Mauricio Jurdan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simbo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Jurdan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Jurdan in the 25th minute of play forced FRANK's goalkeeper Hugo Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lia Crucet in the 27th minute of the match. Stefan Mathiassen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Octavio Lauaxeta made a huge save. Roald Engebakken might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavio Lauaxeta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roald Engebakken ran back to his position shaking his head. Octavio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ola Børseth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roald Engebakken hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Octavio Lauaxeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Senneville in the 38th minute of play. Hugo Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Polo in the 39th minute of play. Hugo Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Jurdan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Børseth in the 43rd minute of play forced Simbo FC's goalkeeper Octavio Lauaxeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavio Lauaxeta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ola Børseth, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Mauricio Jurdan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ola Børseth to make the kick off.
