After 19 minutes, Juliusz Markowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Pawonków and the FC Anderlecht Huachipato players grew even worse after the yellow card. Radomil Drab who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Serbülent Baysan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vitaliy Fedchenko made a kick off. After 50 played minutes Fc Pawonków got a freekick which was hit by Ryszard Kazimierz. Andrzej Wieczorek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baumar Ontanilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alarico San Martín sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrzej Wieczorek had in the 59thth minute some difficulties stopping Stojan Krhan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Andrzej Wieczorek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alarico San Martín in the 63rd minute. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Vitaliy Fedchenko managed to work through Fc Pawonków's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Vitaliy Fedchenko dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Victorio Monte was substituted for Baumar Ontanilla. Radomil Drab recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
