Alijilán returns's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Rene Houseman hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Saul Iruinea kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Simon Bautista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eloy Vela. Salmuera CP's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lino Naelio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fidel Mouricio's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Rolando Olayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alijilán returns's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salmuera CP the free kick. With his leg Eloy Vela managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Alijilán returns's Saul Iruinea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Houseman in the 42nd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Salmuera CP:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alijilán returns:s goal. Eloy Vela had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Rolando Olayo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a little luck, Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela got control of the ball when Jimeno Seme tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saul Iruinea made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Iruinea in the 53rd minute of play forced Salmuera CP's goalkeeper Eloy Vela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
