Krzysztof Golaszewski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Red Devils's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Roldán Martinez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Red Devils getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Olgierd Dziuma hit a great ball. After 29 played minutes Club Getafe Deportivo got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Vilanova. If Andrzej Markowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eli De Paula fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Getafe Deportivo's protests and gave Eli De Paula a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Club Getafe Deportivo's Eli De Paula got a free kick in the 35th minute. Andrzej Markowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renato Rivera having to make a save. Renato Rivera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olgierd Dziuma went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Borys Haskiewicz during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Red Devils's Borys Haskiewicz got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Eli De Paula got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Sebastian Zawadzki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Devils's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Getafe Deportivo the free kick. The supporters of Club Getafe Deportivo booed when Red Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Zawadzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Julian Oliszewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Rivera having to interfere. Renato Rivera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olgierd Dziuma, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Club Getafe Deportivo's goalkeeper Renato Rivera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olgierd Dziuma. Club Getafe Deportivo's Renato Rivera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Club Getafe Deportivo from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Dziuma in the 63rd minute of play forced Club Getafe Deportivo's goalkeeper Renato Rivera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesaro Huarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Krzysztof Golaszewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Krzysztof Golaszewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hondo Roman, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Narciso Vilanova hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Damazy Hoffman from long distance, 93 minutes into the match, got Renato Rivera's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
