In the 3rdth minute of the game Taci Argün who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Getafe Deportivo's Renato Rivera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Magallanes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eli De Paula was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Getafe Deportivo's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Club Getafe Deportivo's Cesaro Huarte to a score. 0-1 in the 12th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Roldán Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Getafe Deportivo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roldán Martinez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cedro Palencia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Cedro Palencia came free, but Leon Oliverio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético Magallanes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cedro Palencia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Magallanes's Lorenzo Tonete got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Roldán Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Oliverio having to interfere. Renato Rivera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Siro Asur in the 43rd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Taci Argün was the one to do the kick off. In the 80th minute of the match, Hondo Roman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leon Oliverio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Club Getafe Deportivo's Roldán Martinez got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After 85 minutes of play, Club Atlético Magallanes's Taci Argün made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renato Rivera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hondo Roman charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hondo Roman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Club Atlético Magallanes booed when Club Getafe Deportivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hondo Roman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Magallanes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
