The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Alberigo Colaneri put in a rough tackle. 10 minutes into the game, one of Montesacro FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 15 minutes into the game, Cecilio Mel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fabiano Barillari was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 17 played minutes Montesacro FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniele Tabacco. In the 18th minute Alonzo Gervaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Barillari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montesacro FC's Fabiano Barillari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Gervaso in the 20th minute of play. Fabiano Barillari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Mel in the 37th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The wind increased when Ferruccio Domenici made the kick off in the second half. Fabiano Barillari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Mel in the 53rd minute of play.
