Erik Cantona struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Wágner Seco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Veli Siivonen got free with Wágner Seco in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wágner Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Cantona in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Agostinho Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juha Jokiranta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ritvaldis Rau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juha Jokiranta was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Juventudes Libertárias were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Manchester United FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. A collision led to Juventudes Libertárias getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Márcio Santos hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Gilson Meirelles notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Manchester United FC's Juha Jokiranta. Juha Jokiranta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute Márcio Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juha Jokiranta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match, Alexsandro Simão tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juha Jokiranta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gilson Meirelles came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Juha Jokiranta could save by the left post. Wágner Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Cantona in the 89th minute of play. When Kustaa Vappula fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester United FC's protests and gave Kustaa Vappula a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Kustaa Vappula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Kustaa Vappula. In the 93rd minute Paavo Salmela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Juventudes Libertárias had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
