The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaac Cassou got free with Jörgen Gummeson in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jens-Ola Nordin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaétan Toullec having to interfere. Jörgen Gummeson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Louineau in the 44th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Jesus Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garphyttan's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaétan Toullec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christophe Montaigne to strike the kick off in the second half. Lennart Kinnman charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lennart Kinnman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mats Askelöf's late challenge caught a Cats and dogs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mats Askelöf helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Garphyttan's Mats Askelöf got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 72 played minutes, Cats and dogs's Augustin Boulnois shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jörgen Gummeson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cats and dogs reached it. When Paulo Louineau fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cats and dogs's protests and gave Paulo Louineau a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Garphyttan booed when Cats and dogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Louineau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernt Nordmark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gaétan Toullec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesus Arce blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaétan Toullec having to make a save. A collision led to Cats and dogs getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Igor Psotka hit a great ball. In the 99th match minute, Garphyttan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Åke Sandell to maneuver through the defense. The Garphyttan players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cats and dogs from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
