A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Valiente Marino hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernandez Quintairos in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juha Jokiranta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute of the match Henrique Lampez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juha Jokiranta skillfully saved the ball. Veli Siivonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Bermudo Mestre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roy Keane was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Manchester United FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Henrique Lampez took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juha Jokiranta. Manchester United FC's Tero Haakana got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juha Jokiranta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reimundo Olarria, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

52 minutes into the match, Henrique Lampez notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Manchester United FC's Juha Jokiranta. Juha Jokiranta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valiente Marino scored 0-3 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juha Jokiranta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th match minute, Manchester United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kustaa Vappula to maneuver through the defense. Borussia Dortmund's Henrique Lampez couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Manchester United FC. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Fernandez Quintairos took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Juha Jokiranta to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Manchester United FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Dennis Irwin hit a great ball. Bermudo Mestre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antto Laitinen in the 78th minute of the match. Javiero Menendez hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Antto Laitinen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bermudo Mestre skillfully saved the ball. Tero Haakana struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Bermudo Mestre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United FC. Juha Jokiranta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandez Quintairos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Borussia Dortmund players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
