In the 41st minute Joaquim Cavaco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Suprs Academia's Joaquim Cavaco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Severino Barros in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godofredo Gabon got free with Miguel Prod'Homme in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Suprs Academia's Joaquim Cavaco got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Israel Odilon to make the kick off. The supporters of Suprs Academia booed when Palermo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Esquipula didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Joaquim Cavaco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Severino Barros. That made the score 0-4 in the 54 minute of play. Plácido Bulhosas short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Severino Barros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Suprs Academia getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Joaquim Cavaco hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Saúl Couto came free, but Severino Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Taveira in the 72nd minute of play. Miguel Prod'Homme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Stanislao, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 79 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Cavaco came free, but Severino Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Ellande kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Suprs Academia's Gonsalvo Ramos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Severino Barros. That made the score 0-7 after 87 minutes of play. 93 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goalkeeper Severino Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Plácido Bulhosa. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tobias Sasoin during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tobias Sasoin kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Suprs Academia played a much better game than Palermo AFC and deserved their victory. The Palermo AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
