Ştefan Bara made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Grêmio 20 Julho's João Adolfo de Andrade. After some careless play in the F.C.BARLAD defense, Valdemar de Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wojtek Szczęsny. The F.C.BARLAD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wojtek Szczęsny should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Jonathan Zanette had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ni Gang Yi. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.BARLAD's zone, Claudinho Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wojtek Szczęsny came out of the goal and Claudinho Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goal looked a bit too open when Ni Gang Yi came free, but Jonathan Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Zanette was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Eric Pârlea capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eric Pârlea really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 23 minutes into the game, Florin Aalexoaiei threw the ball into play from the sideline. Grêmio 20 Julho's João Adolfo de Andrade quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo de Andrade in the 23rd minute of play forced F.C.BARLAD's goalkeeper Wojtek Szczęsny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ni Gang Yi in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Eric Pârlea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute Valdemar de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wojtek Szczęsny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grêmio 20 Julho's Jonathan Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ni Gang Yi in the 32nd minute of play. Wojtek Szczęsny came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio 20 Julho's Téo Pires. But to his dismay, Téo Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Jonathan Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ni Gang Yi in the 38th minute of play. F.C.BARLAD's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dumitru Surdu in the 47th minute. The F.C.BARLAD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grêmio 20 Julho were winning 1-2.

Wojtek Szczęsny was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudinho Toscano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 51 minute of play. Braulio Castel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Zanette having to interfere. In the 58th minute Ni Gang Yi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ni Gang Yi in the 60th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ni Gang Yi in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Zanette saved Grêmio 20 Julho from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Valdemar de Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Grêmio 20 Julho booed when F.C.BARLAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Gheorghiță didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 played minutes F.C.BARLAD got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Surdu. F.C.BARLAD made a substitution. Marcu Filimon replaced Sandu Brădescu. Valdemar de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Claudinho Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wojtek Szczęsny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grêmio 20 Julho's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
