AS Pikachuzim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Micaelense the free kick. In the 16th minute, Claudinei do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Luiz Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torcato Paião in the 19th minute of the match. Pedro Luiz Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alcides Lobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's Hermano Amaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz Matorin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute Alcides Lobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Luiz Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torcato Paião, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 29 minutes, Vito Batista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AS Pikachuzim and the Atlético Micaelense players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Alcides Lobo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luiz Matorin was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 34 minutes into the match, AS Pikachuzim's goal looked a bit too open when Hermano Amaro came free, but Pedro Luiz Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 played minutes Atlético Micaelense got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Godinho. Telmo Godinho's late challenge caught a AS Pikachuzim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Telmo Godinho helped the player get up and apologised. 43 minutes into the game, one of Atlético Micaelense:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 46th minute, Jorge Eanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torcato Paião stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vito Batista took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Paixão. Alexandre Paixão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gil Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gil Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Gil Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, AS Pikachuzim's Laerte Toscano seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Laerte Toscano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AS Pikachuzim protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Laerte Toscano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Laerte Toscano hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Alexandre Paixão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 92 minutes into the game, Jaime Teixeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Pikachuzim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Micaelense the free kick.
