Marian Cuber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torcato Paião, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Alexandre Paixão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Dorio in the 26th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Wlodzimierz Duda took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Alexandre Paixão to make any attempt to save it. Hermano Amaro struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Marian Cuber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Micaelense. Torcato Paião scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marian Cuber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Serafin Dorio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Alexandre Paixão made a huge save. Ulryk Pieprz's late challenge caught a Atlético Micaelense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulryk Pieprz helped the player get up and apologised. Ulryk Pieprz hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Marian Cuber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alcides Lobo in the 45th minute of play. If Hermano Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wlodzimierz Duda to make the kick off. Marian Cuber came out of the goal and Torcato Paião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
