Torcato Paião who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Graeme McLise when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alcides Lobo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 48thth minute, Graeme McLise skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stuart Greenfield to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's Jorge Eanes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Graeme McLise narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peter Pennant who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Alexandre Paixão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Jorge Eanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermano Amaro kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Leicester Foxes Academy's Julian Joachim was substituted for Jez Alcock. A collision led to Atlético Micaelense getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Hermano Amaro hit a great ball. In the 64th minute Stuart Greenfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Paixão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leicester Foxes Academy's Graeme McLise played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermano Amaro in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute of the match Jorge Eanes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Graeme McLise skillfully saved the ball. Alexandre Paixão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Greenfield in the 78th minute of play. Torcato Paião hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's goalkeeper Alexandre Paixão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Pennant. After having played for 91 minutes, Peter Pennant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leicester Foxes Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Pennant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 96 played minutes Atlético Micaelense got a freekick which was hit by Hermano Amaro. The Atlético Micaelense supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Leicester Foxes Academy's performance. The match ended with a win for Leicester Foxes Academy.
