After a rather tough play, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Braulio Ourente got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Igor Zdrojowy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Cuber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Elazar in the 18th minute of the match. Tobias Elizardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaw Lampe, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wlodzimierz Duda to make the kick off.
